More Free Books For The Amazon Kindle Reader

There are over 400,000 books available for the amazon kindle e-book reader – what many people don’t realise is that many of them are free. Now, the British Library is going to add to the number of free Kindle books – to the tune of 65,000 19th century novels. These will include works by authors such as Thomas Hardy, Charlotte Bronte and Charles Dickens, but needless to say, there will be novels by a number of lesser known authors included as well. The British Library has been busy digitizing these books over the course of the last three years. Plans exist to start formatting 20th century out of copyright novels in the near future – but funding still needs to be put in place for this part of the project.
