Saying Thank You With A Nod

Depending on your customs, there are many different ways to say thank you. We went to China for a business meeting and noticed the cultural differences. During dinner, we noticed they performed a nod to gesture thank you. After heading back to the hotel, I inquired with one of the hotel associates on the customs and etiquette. I asked them if the nod did mean thank you and they confirmed. It’s amazing when you go to a different country to learn all the different customs and traditions, whether verbal or nonverbal forms. After returning, I told my husband of my adventures.
