Magic the Gathering Cards Require Math
I am a math teacher so I love to hear about games that require math. I found out that Magic the Gathering cards require arithmetic. I think it is great that a whole society of people that love the game are using math every time they play. Whenever I tell people that I am a math teacher they groan. So it is great news to me that so many people participate in this game that requires them to use math. Even if it is basic math, it is still exciting. It leads me to wonder if there is a way that I can incorporate this game into my lesson plans some how.
