The valley broadens into a large plain which you can see on the way of Buses from Rajkot. There at the foot of a glacier is lovely Lake Gadsar at the heights of 3,962metres. Glaciers from the towering peaks come down to meet the lake. The grassy mountain slopes laden with flowers make a fine camping site. The gradual descent along the lake leads to the foot of Kasturgand Mountain, the home of Kastura (musk deer). The other trek across the stream zigzags up the Kasturgand to Dhooptapini where the stream disappears under a huge cave, but reappears about a kilometre below. Nearby is Satsar Lake made up of seven lakes in cascade formation?
