Last week I was getting ready to leave the house for work, and I went out to my car and noticed that one of the tires was flat. My husband had already left for work, and I didn’t know how to change a tire, so I knocked on my neighbors door and asked him for help. He came right out and helped me, and he had me on my way in less than fifteen minutes. I firmly believe that writing thank you letters is still the proper way to express thanks, so I wrote him one and baked him some cookies. He really came to my rescue!

I will soon be graduating from my training program and will be a certified dental assistant looking for my first job. The dental assistant salaries may not be great when you first start out, but with experience I expect to make enough money to fully support myself and my two children. Their father is totally out of the picture and doesn’t help us at all. Since I don’t know if that will ever change, I have to make the choices that are right for us. Even if we have to move for my job, it will be worth it in the long run. Going to school has been a challenge, but the rewards are right around the corner.

Over ten years ago, my best friend and I decided that we wanted to be video game designers. We did some research and find out about the education requirements for a video game designer. We enrolled in school the following year and the rest is history. Now, we are both video game designers making a very nice living. We still talk almost everyday. It is so cool because we can try out each others projects. Sometimes he will give me advice and sometimes I will give him advice. We just feel like we have the best job in the world. I’m so glad we made that choice 10 years ago to go to school for video game design.

I was in Garden Grove last night at my Brother Phil’s condo. I had not planned on going over there;however he called me up at work and told me that he could really use my help. My brother had just gotten cable service with the Internet option. He was having a hard time hooking everything up. When I got to the house his daughter, my niece Melanie , answered the door. She invited me in and then said” Uncle Chuck I want to know how to become a court reporter“. I guess she asked me that because my wife does it for a living.

I have a 125 gallon fish tank. I have a bunch of big fish in it. For the last few weeks, the aquarium pump filter did not seem to be doing its job. One of my favorite fish is now dead. I went to the store and bought the deluxe model and a new Oscar. When I put the new Oscar in the tank, he was eaten immediately by the South American Red-tail Catfish. I guess that will teach me to not neglect the fish tank in the future. Unfortunately the next bigger fish that the pet store sells is over $100.
