Saying Thank You With A Nod

Wednesday, August 18th, 2010

Depending on your customs, there are many different ways to say thank you. We went to China for a business meeting and noticed the cultural differences. During dinner, we noticed they performed a nod to gesture thank you. After heading back to the hotel, I inquired with one of the hotel associates on the customs and etiquette. I asked them if the nod did mean thank you and they confirmed. It’s amazing when you go to a different country to learn all the different customs and traditions, whether verbal or nonverbal forms. After returning, I told my husband of my adventures.

Payday Loans Are A Short Term Source Of Income

Saturday, August 14th, 2010

Do not think that Payday Loans are a permanent source of income.  You can’t become their victim.  Anyway, before you decide whether or not to get payday loans, take some time to analyze your monthly income.  Take some time and check your pay schedules and make sure you’ll be paid again before your loan is due.  It is true that in case you will not follow these steps, you may have to make a partial payment and extend your loan.  More and more fees will be added at the initial loan.  Payday loans are intended to serve the needs that may occur in a very short amount of time, not to pay new and new loans.

Catching My Breath

Monday, August 2nd, 2010

It took me a few minutes to catch my breath. When my brother stopped talking I really did not know what to say to him. He had just told me that he had talked to my birth mom yesterday after finding her information with an online Phone book. He said that he had called the lady himself to make sure that it was her. He did not want me to have to go through another dead end with this search. He was almost positive that this woman was my birth mom. All of her information matched up exactly with mine.

Visiting French Grandparents

Saturday, July 24th, 2010

My husband moved to the US when he was only three years old. Although he is a French citizen, he never really knew his Father or Grandparents. He has only seen his Dad a handful of times when he makes it to the states on business. Now that I had our first baby, my husband’s grandparents have sent plane tickets requesting to see their great-grandchild. I am thrilled, but very intimidated to see them since I know no French! We decided I will go early and take french courses in paris so I am not so uncomfortable. It will be a fun trip, too.

Understated Gold Cufflinks

Saturday, July 24th, 2010

It takes a lot of convincing for me to wear anything that has genuine gold. I used to think gold causes my allergies. It must have been a very traumatic experience for me. My mom convinced me in wearing a gold bracelet and necklace. The first five minutes was okay since I enjoyed how gold glitters on my skin. I was undeniably, a vain glorious child then. I noticed that I started scratching my neck and forearm. My mom noticed I had hives. The red itchy patches were caused by the gold accessories. Now, I am not so sure if I will wear the Gold Cufflinks that was given to me by my colleagues as a birthday present.

Learning Thru Taking Sharepoint Classes

Wednesday, July 21st, 2010

I guess you can call me a big computer geek. I love working and learning new information about computers. I try to stay up to date about all of the new software changes and updates. One software that I was very curious about was Sharepoint. So I found some great Sharepoint Classes in my area that gave me a very good basic knowledge about how to use this software. I was impressed with all of the things that the software does. I do plan to take more classes in the near future so I can become an expert user at work.

Shoes for Barefoot Running

Tuesday, July 20th, 2010

There is lots of dialogue related to the idea of barefoot running as opposed to running in jogging sneakers. There is lots of beliefs as to the preferable way, nonetheless very little proof any particular one is in fact greater than another. This is despite a lot of claims getting made that not usuing running shoes working out is much better and that athletic shoes are bad. The study does not show this. Not surprisingly there exists a increasing industry for barefoot running shoes, that is to some degree of the oxymoron since how will you be barefoot together with footwear? These footwear are very minimum as well as are meant to mimic the act of jogging not using running shoes.
