How cameras see the world

Sunday, April 19th, 2009

It goes without saying that a camera sees the world through it’s lens and will capture just what it sees (but with exceptions as you will see), those things by the way including that tree looking like it is sticking out of aunty Jame’s head by the way, but that is a different story and is all about composition. So, you not only have to be wary of what picture you are actually taking, you also have to be aware of how the camera is going to expose the film (or ccd in the case of digital cameras) and that is a totally different story and one that is even concerned with the colour of the thing you are wanting to photograph! There is a lot to learn and one of the best starting places is the Google Knol, and I’ve found a great one today, its all about photography and is something that I’d recommend viewing.

What a Personal Trainer Does

Friday, April 17th, 2009

When you’re hiring a personal trainer, the first assessment you should do is to make sure that he is aware of what your medical history means. He should also be knowledgeable on weight, body fat, stability, strength, muscle imbalances, flexibility, and posture. These are information that only a personal trainer knows the meanings to. If you have recently taken a stress test, he should be able to interpret it. He should also know what to do with your water intake, food cravings, food consumption and activity level. These are thoroughly observed in order for him to suggest the right regimen and workout for you.

Uppercase Living Starter Kit

Tuesday, April 14th, 2009

The companies starter kit is one of the better kits out there.  It’s still a little pricey @ $150 but you don’t just get a box of manuals, you get lots and lots of samples to show your customers (and give them a demonstration.).  So, the grade for the ‘starter kit’ is good, an “A.”

Upline support (support from higher-ups who are more seasoned) is good.  Now, we have weekly, bi-weekly conference calls that are optional.   Everyone talks about ways that UL is selling well, and some ways that it isn’t.  They seem genuinely helpful.

The commissions at Uppercase Living are nice since you don’t have to wait for a monthly ‘check’ to arrive.   You receive a 25%+ discount and you realize your profit by paying less for the items as a consultant.  For example, on a $100 order, you’ll make $25 since and you’ll receive this right away.  So, that’s nice.  Grading their ‘speed of commission payment’, I would give that an “A”.

All in all, the UL offering is pretty darn good.

A glimpse to hot China stocks

Saturday, April 11th, 2009

The Chinese economy still shooting up at 11.5% in the last quarter makes every trader consider their stocks as hot china stocks specially IPO stocks. Many investors look at Chinese stocks as a proxy to tap into China. In exchange, some Chinese companies sell their share with international leaders like NYSE/NASDAQ and HKSE. It is normal to read articles such as from Forbes listing Chinese stocks skyrocketing even on their first day of trading whether it’s in domestic or in foreign markets. Recently, an average of 192% has been reported on The Wall Street Journal on any first day return for any Chinese public offerings (IPO).
